The other day I was busy in the garden when suddenly there was crash out in the road. I dashed over and It was immediately obvious that it was fatal . Being the first on the scene I called the emergecy services and just stood there helplessly watching.The police asked for a witness statement but of course I wasn't much use because I hadn't seen anything happen.

That night I sat turning over and over in my mind the sudden fatality of those involved in the accident. They will have just been going about their usual daily business, yet something unplanned had ended their lives and affected the lives of those they have left behind.

It got me thinking about my own state of affairs. Here I am on my own without any insurance to cover me or protect my children if anything happens to me suddenly . It is always the unplanned events that catch us out.

It didnt bare thinking about anymore. I had to get myself online right now. A general insurance is all I need . If I check with a few companies and compare life insurance I should find a policy that suits me.

So I typed into the search bar Compare life insurance , sure enough it searched the web and returned with a string of different companies . Some of the companies are brokers whose job it is to compare life insurance from different companies tailored to your own requirements. There are also companies who sell their own life insurance direct. Of course with the latter it is not easy to compare life insurance quotes without getting a whole list of direct insurance companies and then searching through their different deals.

I chose to use a compare website which does all the work for me . I just selected a broker who had a comparison website. Through that I could quickly identify the best policy for me as all the comparisons regarding cot and cover were listed for me. So easy.

I selected the one I wanted and paid through a secure site with my card. I suddenly felt more secure and happier knowing that I had done the right thing . If I was to have ,god forbid, an accident tomorrow which turned out to be fatal I have the peace of mind knowing that I have got my house in order and my kids wont have to worry about funeral expenses at a time when they are feeling already emotional.
